Freelance Product Developer (Amsterdam)

VIVEH is a premium women’s fashion brand based in Amsterdam, dedicated to creating daily chic, timeless designs. Our collections are built on premium fabrics, versatility, and elegance — and we’re looking for a freelance Product Developer to help bring our vision to life and shape the next phase of our brand.
As our Product Developer, you’ll not only manage the technical development and production process, but also play a key role in building up our collections and refining our design language. You’ll work closely with the Designer, Art Director, Brand & Marketing Manager, and international suppliers, serving as the bridge between creative vision and production feasibility.
What you’ll do
- Lead the development of seasonal collections, ensuring coherence, balance, and commercial viability
- Translate design concepts into detailed technical documentation (tech packs, drawings, size & style specs, grading)
- Provide creative input on fabrics, trims, fits, and construction techniques to further shape the brand’s design identity
- Oversee fittings, document changes, and communicate feedback clearly to suppliers and internal teams
- Source materials and manage supplier relationships, including price negotiations, lead times, and technical requirements
- Perform quality checks during production and upon delivery
- Maintain structured internal records and seasonal development folders
- Collaborate with brand & marketing to align collections with storytelling and market positioning
- Bring process improvements and innovations to elevate product quality, efficiency, and scalability
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in product development and/or fashion design (women’s premium fashion is a plus)
- An eye for detail and ability to contribute to the growth of VIVEH’s design language
- Confidence in taking the lead on collection build-up and technical decision-making
- Technical knowledge of garment construction, fitting, and production workflows
- Experience in working with international suppliers and manufacturers
- A hands-on, structured, and proactive way of working
- A solution-driven mindset that balances creativity, quality, and commercial needs
