MATERIALS

ECOVERO

When possible we opt for ECOVERO, a sustainable Ecolabel certified variation of viscose. Made from 100% sustainable wood, the material is harvested from responsibly managed forests. The production of ECOVERO generates up to 50% lower emissions and water in comparison to traditional viscose.

Organic cotton

We opt for organic cotton throughout the VIVEH collection when possible. In organic cotton farming, the use of pesticides, chemical fertilisers or genetically modified seeds is not permitted. Organic cotton has less of an overall impact on the environment, including lower greenhouse gas emissions, less water pollution, soil destruction and improved health of workers.

COTTON

A natural fibre derived from the soft, fluffy material of a cotton plant, cotton has a range of positive characteristics when made into a fabric. Not only is it durable, breathable and easy to care for, but it’s also gentle on the skin and moisture-absorbing.

Viscose

We use Viscose due to its light and airy fabric structure. Made from wood pulp, viscose goes through a chemical solution to produce a smooth, silky fabric. The fabric fibres are moisture-regulating and breathable.

Recycled polyester

Our recycled polyester is made from fashion waste, fishing nets and plastic PET bottles. Of which would alternatively end up in landfill. Instead of producing virgin polyester, old products are given new life by being re-spun into new, recycled, polyester fibre

Polyester

Polyester is manufactured synthetic fibre. It’s a versatile and extremely durable fabric known to hold its shape and also for its resistance to wrinkling. We use polyester for its longevity, styles are able to last, meaning they remain in your wardrobe for longer.

Recycled Nylon

Our recycled nylon is made from a mix of pre-consumer fabric waste and commercial waste such as industrial fishing nets. Polyamide fibres are broken down and recycled into new yarns. This process maintains the quality of the original fibre and allows the material to be recycled infinitely

Nylon

Nylon is a man made synthetic fibre. Mostly used for lace, swimwear and sportswear, the fabric is quick-dry, colourfast and resistant to wrinkles
