SELF CARE EVENING IDEAS TO ADD TO YOUR WEEKEND ROUTINE

As the week comes to a close, it's natural to crave a reprieve from the daily stresses andstrains of everyday life. Whether it's the demands of work, the pressures of personal responsibilities, or the constant barrage of information from the outside world, finding moments of peace and tranquillity becomes more than necessary, especially as the weekend approaches.

In this week’s edition of our Newsletter we will unveil with you our ideas for a relaxing weekend evening that will allow you to transform your home into a weekend spa getaway.

1. Gratitude Practice

We often times tend to get too wrapped up in our everyday struggles to notice things we should be grateful for on a daily basis. Sometimes, sitting down with yourself and writing down things you would normally find trivial but that bring you peace and happiness is worth it to remind yourself about them more regularly.

2. At-Home Spa Day

Transform your bathroom into a spa oasis with luxurious bath products and plush towels. Take a long, leisurely bath with bath salts or bubbles, and pamper yourself with a DIY facial, body scrub, or hair treatment.

3. Book reccomendation from our Creative Director - Vivian Hoorn

In our previous edition of Newsletter Weekender, we heard from Vivian herself: “I am a big-time fan of Yung Pueblo, have read many of his previous books, and just ordered the newest release of his — The Way Forward. As I really love quotes and inspirational short stories, his books are a must-try. I'm very curious about this one!”. Get inspired by Vivian and spend your weekend discovering your new read.

4. Unplug and Disconnect

Are you able to say, off the top of your head, how many times during the day you check your phone? Our attention and focus are constantly disrupted by the use of devices, which have obviously become an inseparable part of our daily life. Try leaving one day of your week device-free and give yourself a chance to enjoy your day being fully present and focused onyour real-life, in-person activities.

5. Clock-in for an online workout class from Home

Explore online resources offering guided meditation sessions, yoga classes, and wellness workshops. Create your own personalized retreat schedule and indulge in a day of self-discovery and relaxation. Start your day with gentle yoga to awaken your body and mind, followed by a guided meditation for inner peace. In the afternoon, attend a virtual wellness workshop to learn new techniques for stress management or holistic living. As evening approaches, treat yourself to a soothing bath or aroma therapy session. Close out your retreat by journaling your reflections and setting intentions for the week ahead. Embrace this opportunity to unplug, unwind, and nurture your body, mind, and spirit.

6. Give yourslef a big hug on the couch

Why not show yourself somelove by resting on the couch wrapped in a huge blanket, while wearing your favorite tracksuit - we truly underestimate the power of cool home wear that allows you to feel comfortable but confident at the same time!
